I was laid off this week. Yes, I now join the other 4.5 million Americans on the unemployment rolls. Ah, what can you do? I know I haven't said much about this, since I generally don't talk about work, but be assured that this was not a surprise and although there is a certain disappointment to it, I'm also hopeful to see what windows will open now that that door is closed. Or maybe I'm just still in shock. I'm giving myself a few days to rest and regroup, and then onto figuring out what's next.

I played dress up in my wedding dress last night. Hey, it's been a tough week (see above). Plus, this is the time of winter when I feel so gross- I hate all my clothes, my skin is a nightmare no matter what I put on it, I'm just a mess. So I put on my pretty pretty dress and played with hair and shoe options. Thankfully, the dress is just about the perfect length already. On the flip side, it doesn't quite fit up top (too small at the very top, too large in the waist and hips), so it will need some alterations there. Either that, or I could just use the next year to make my body fit the dress. Hey, I've got nothing but time.
