The stimulus package provided a number of things that are making my life a little easier these days. The first is the health insurance premium subsidy. The second is the additional $25 a week in unemployment benefits that is being provided to all states. However much you are getting, even if it's as little as a dollar, you now get $25 more, paid for by the federal government. The money even has a name- Federal Additional Compensation or FAC. I feel fancy getting money with a name.

I baked bread today. Real bread! From scratch! Kneaded the dough and everything. I had some with raspberry preserves, it was quite good. Maybe I can become a little more domestic.
