A few weeks ago, I found this little bump on my back, between my shoulder blades. I showed it to M, and he figured it was a zit or something and I forgot all about it. Then, while we were in DC, I felt for it again and it was BIGGER. I showed it to M and he was like WHAT IS THAT THAT IS SO SCARY YOU HAVE TO GET THAT CHECKED OUT! Thank you, Dr. M; you were the one who said it was nothing in the first place!

So, since then, I've been worried I have cancer or something equally horrifying. I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE. I made an appointment with my dermatologist for Wednesday, and have been anxiously awaiting the day. But then today, on my way out of an interview, I saw that the AAD was doing free skin cancer checks in a little mobile office. Perfect! I can get all my moles and freckles checked out, and have a dermatologist eyeball the death blob on my back. What a blessing that was. Good news- I don't have cancer! The thing on my back is an inflamed cyst, which my doc can deal with on Wednesday. And none of my 10,000 other moles and freckles are cancer, either. Despite the chilly, rainy weather, I'm feeling much better about life now that I know that I'm not dying.
