Got a chance to sit on Broadway last night. Not the stage, silly; the newly closed-off section of Broadway in Times Square that they've turned into a pedestrian mall, complete with ugly brown and green lawn chairs. It really was lovely to be able to sit still and watch all the lights and the people. Plus, with the streets open, the sidewalks aren't so crowded and there are a lot more paths one can take to avoid slow-moving tourists. I give the experiment two thumbs up.

Still running. It's not so tortuous anymore! Thank goodness. I bought myself some new running shorts, so I don't have to wear the same pair over and over again. Those who know me well know that I am generally against shorts, particularly the new "formal shorts" that ridiculous people wear with heels, but I am willing to make an exception for exercise shorts (and the previously allowed shorts for similar outdoorsy activities, such as the beach, picnics, etc). You should see the shorts I bought, they are teeeeeny tiny. All the better to run with, my dear, mwa ha ha.
