When I was in college, I re-arranged all the letters on my keyboard. I was bored in class one day, and the keys on the iBooks popped out so easily, so I moved them all around. Made the middle row say "Kate Rocks" or something like that which didn't repeat any letters (all the examples I can think of repeat). I'm completely a touch-typer, so it's not something I thought about- until other people tried to use my computer. It made them so mad. That was fun. Great way to keep other people from using your laptop. Would've kept it like that forever, but I had to send it in for repair once and when it came back from Apple, they had replaced the keypad. I guess even "Geniuses" aren't as up on their touch typing as they should be. Have you heard of the Dvorak keyboard? I was reading an article in the Wall Street Journal about it the other day. I think it sounds neat. I could use a project. If I can type 100 wpm in QWERTY, think of how fast I could be in Dvorak! Think of the fun of telling recruiters, Yes, I type *250 wpm*. Plus my keyboard would be all crazy. This could be an incredibly fun way to totally freak out people on a regular basis in a totally passive way. I shall research it. Past :: Present :: Future |
